Eric Wilkins

“Eric was formerly the Vice Chairman of Security First Bank, and was born and raised in Fresno. He received an Associates of Arts degree from Santa Barbara City College and his Bachelor of Political Science degree from University of California, Santa Barbara. Eric, along with his family, owns and operates Wilkins Enterprises. The company specializes in the development, construction and management of office and industrial buildings in the Central Valley. Eric holds a license as a real estate broker from the State of California and an "A" class general engineering contractor's license also issued by the State. He sat as chair of the Oakhurst Citizens Advisory Committee and has been a member of the public relations committee for Madera County Maintenance District 22, and is a member of the Eastern Madera County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors.”

Parm Bains

Born in India, Parm moved to the United States at 8 years old and has lived in Yuba City for over 50 years. He is a general partner in the Bains Family Farm, and owner of Hwy 99 Travel Center Truck Stop and three 7-11 convenience stores. Parm has a strong background in agricutlure including commercial fruit harvesting and trucking, and is a member of the California Peach Canning Association. Parm is active with his local Sikh Temple and the Yuba City Punjabi Indian community. He enjoys traveling with his wife and children.

Chris Cartwright

A resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for almost 30 years, Chris has owned numerous business's including gas stations, car washes, self storage, auto repair shops, commercial and residential rental real estate, and two resorts in Lake Almanor. Chris is a member of Rotary International and board member of the Sutter County Airport Advisory Committee. He is a commercial pilot with a low level aerobatic waiver, and enjoyed performing in air shows throughout the country.

Bill was born and educated in Fresno, CA, and is a graduate of California State University, Fresno. He has lived in the Visalia, Lindsay and Fresno areas nearly his entire life. Bill is a former Certified Public Accountant and owned a CPA practice in Lindsay and Visalia. However, for the past 25 years, Bill has specialized in custom home construction. Bill is the former Vice Chairman of Mineral King National Bank, a highly successful community bank in Visalia that sold to Vallicorp in 1994.

Dave is a resident of Reedley, with business interests throughout the Central Valley. Dave was a production home builder but sold his home construction business in 2000 and now specializes in commercial construction. Dave also farms varietal grapes in Fresno and Tulare counties and manages a farm services company serving the Central Valley.

Gary E. Esajian

Gary has been a resident of the Lemoore area most of his life. His primary business is farming in Kings, Fresno and Tulare counties and managing real estate development interests here and in San Luis Obispo County. Gary also serves as a Board member of the Westlands Water District and the San Joaquin Valley Cotton Board, as well as local farm bureaus and Chambers of Commerce.

His companies employ nearly 1,000 people throughout Northern California, Lake Tahoe and Northern Nevada. Dan was named Realtor Broker of the Year in 1995 and 1999, and his brokerage firm has been recognized by Realtor Magazine as one of the "Top 100 Largest Real Estate Firms" in the nation. He is an active member of the Association of Realtors in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Butte, Yuba and Sutter counties.

Born in Dinuba, Dale is a longtime resident of Porterville and is a graduate of California State University, Fresno. He has managed a thriving CPA practice in Porterville for over 27 years and participates in many civic organizations.

He held senior roles in the banking sector in both Europe and Australia, before moving to the US, where he has served as Chairman of the Great Western Bancorporation and Chief Executive Officer of National Australia Bank Americas in the Midwest, and has been a Managing Director with Cappello Capital Corporation in California. His expertise is in agriculture and supporting the growth of small business. He is a graduate of both Stirling University and Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, and has attended the Harvard Business School's Executive Education Program in Agribusiness.

Florencio "Frank" Paredez

Frank grew up in the area, graduating from Orosi High School and College of the Sequoias. Frank farms in the Exeter area, owns a packing house there and also owns the Hungry Hollow Borrow Pit in Porterville. He is active in local and San Francisco based farmers' markets. Through the years, Frank has participated in many county boards.

Matthew B. Pomeroy

Born and raised in Yuba City, Matt has been a self-employed contractor with Pomeroy Construction for 20 years, building custom homes in the Yuba County foothills. Matt and his brother, Jarrod, took over their family farming operation in 2011, growing peaches, prunes and walnuts. Matt was a founding board member of Sutter Community Bank. He built his own home in the foothills and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.

Marc R. Schuil

Marc grew up in Reedley and has spent his career working in local communities. Marc is a graduate of California State University, Fresno, and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is an owner of Schuil and Associates, a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in agricultural real estate in the Central Valley. Marc also has extensive knowledge and experience in the dairy business. He has also been active in civic organizations, having served on several county boards.

The Shannon family has been farming the area for over 100 years. Eric attended school locally and graduated from the University of California, Davis. He is active in farming as well as real estate-related interests in the Visalia area. Eric is actively involved in Visalia Rotary having served as its President, as well as other civic organizations.

Michael E. Thurlow

Mike has lived in the Reedley/Kingsburg area his entire life, attending Reedley High School and Reedley College, and graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Mike is an owner and manager of a produce company that stores, packs and ships fruit raised in Tulare, Kings and Fresno counties. Mike participates in and sponsors several school and civic groups.

Darrell E. Tunnell

Darrell was born in Terra Bella and raised in Porterville. He attended College of the Sequoias and moved to Visalia, where he began working in the aircraft repair and maintenance business. Darrell currently owns Aircraft Mechanical Services, Inc., the Visalia Airport fixed base operator (FBO). Darrell is active in many sports and is an active contributor to school and civic organizations.

Douglas P. Gibbs

A longtime resident of Yuba City, Doug is the Managing Partner for Gibbs Group, LLC, helping start-up companies bring new products to market. A serial entrepreneur himself, Doug holds 14 patents and was the founder of Sport Rack, which was acquired by Masco. Doug holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, an MBA and is a Barrister for Chinese Commercial Law. Also an Adjunct Professor, Doug has taught Global Business and International Business Law. He is active with his church, family and community. Doug enjoys fast Italian cars and building street rods.

Robert C. Ryan III

Rob has lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for almost 40 years. As the prinicipal of Ryan Wealth Management in Yuba City, Rob has nearly two decades of financial planning and asset management experience. As a boy, Rob received his rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and is now Assistant Scout Master of the local Boy Scout troop. He is also a member of the Yuba City Rotary Club. Rob is a retired Navy Commander, and also a member of the Coast Guard Reserve Air Auxiliary. As an Officer and Pilot, he finished his active duty tour with over 1000 hours of FA-18 Hornet Aircraft fighter time, including four combat missions over Iraq and over 180 aircraft carrier landings.

Peter Nutz

Chief Credit Officer

Peter grew up in Southwestern Germany near Stuttgart and moved to Minneapolis, MN to attend graduate school. Prior to joining Suncrest, he held senior risk positions with Rabobank in the US and Europe, most recently as Risk Executive for Retail and Small Business in Poland. Previously, he served as Executive Director for Special Assets and as Senior Ag Credit Officer for Rabobank's Rural & Retail Division while located in Fresno, California. Earlier in his career he worked for the Farm Credit System in St. Paul, MN and was also Director of Finance for the Offutt Companies, a vertically integrated agribusiness headquartered in Fargo, ND. He holds Masters degrees in Economics, Mathematics and Combinatorics from the University of Minnesota and from the Universität Ulm, Germany.

Jean Carandang

Chief Financial Officer

Jean started her career as a certified public accountant and auditor with KPMG LLP in Los Angeles, Ms. Carandang then spent the next twelve years in various finance and risk roles at Quaker City Bank in Whittier, CA before joining PFF Bank and Trust, Rancho Cucamonga, CA in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Financial Controller. In 2008, she joined NASDAQ listed Simplicity Bank in Covina, CA, serving as Chief Financial Officer until its merger with HomeStreet Bank in 2015. Ms. Carandang holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles.

Steve Jones

Chief Operating Officer

Steve was born and raised in Fresno, California. He obtained the designation of Certified Public Accountant while working for a large regional Accounting Firm in Portland, Oregon. Steve began a career in financial services as an auditor working for PacifiCorp Financial Services. He then moved into Bank Acquisitions and Financial Reporting with First Interstate Bank and Wells Fargo Bank in both Portland, Oregon and Phoenix, Arizona. Afterward, Steve joined Bank One, working in Phoenix, Denver and Columbus, Ohio. Immediately prior to moving home to Fresno, Steve held the position of President of The Grange Bank where he had also held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Before becoming Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Suncrest Bank in Visalia, Steve was most recently President and CEO of Security First Bank in Fresno, a bank in which he helped organize in 2005, and open in 2007 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Steve attended Malaspina University in British Columbia where he obtained his Associate of Commerce Degree, and The University of Portland, Oregon where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration.

JP Sethi

JP Sethi is the founder and core leader of all that Sethi Management has accomplished. He was born and raised in New Delhi, India and moved to the United States in 1976 in hopes for a brighter future. Mr. Sethi began his business with convenience stores and later expanded to hotels, restaurants, and real estate. With over 30 years of experience, he plans to continue his development in retail and hospitality. His desire is to not only grow himself in this business but also to educate and empower others to do so. Mr. Sethi is always looking for new challenges and is highly active in local community projects such as the Hindu Temple of Fresno, Crime Stoppers of Fresno, Clovis Unified School District, Interfaith Alliance of the Central Valley, and the Fresno Police Advisory Board. He also served on the Board of Directors for The Security First Bank of Fresno and is the founder of the American Petroleum and Convenience Store Association (APCA). Mr. Sethi constantly seeks to grow his knowledge and experiences through his business and by volunteering his time and resources to his community.

Pat Horn

Mr. Horn was born and raised in Fresno, graduated from Fresno State, and earned his CPA with the State Board of Accountancy in 1983. He has been with Ryan, Christie, Quinn, & Horn since 1979.

Jerry Henry, Esquire

Jerry Henry practiced law in the Fresno area for 35 yeas and served as city attorney for several small Fresno County cities and special districts.  He is currently retired from the law but operates a small raisin vineyard and is a member of the Sun-Maid cooperative. He and his wife, Delia, also manage their rental properties. He was a director of Security First Bank from its inception and prior to that served as a director of Kerman State Bank as well as six years as chairman of the board during that time. 

Rama Ambati

Born and raised in India, Rama Ambati has completed her education at the University of Iowa. She has been a leader in the Real Estate community since 1986. She holds a license as a real estate broker and owns A&A Property Management.  She has been awarded the relocation agent of the year award for her outstanding service to relocating clients. She is nationally recognized as an accredited Luxury Homes Specialist. She is a member of National Association of Realtors, California Association of  Realtors and Fresno Chamber of Commerce. Active member of Fresno and San Francisco Association of Realtors. She is active in community organizations. 

Mark Borba

“A 1974 graduate of UC Davis with a BS in Agricultural Economics and Business Management, Mark is also a graduate of Class IX of the California Ag Leadership Program.  He served for 16 years on Riverdale school boards; is a past board member of the California State University-Fresno AgOne Foundation; and has served on the UC Davis College of Agriculture advisory board.  Mark was given the College’s Award of Distinction in 1996.  As founding President of the UC San Francisco-Fresno Medical Foundation in 1983, he’s worked to retain doctors in rural areas following their residencies in the UCSF-Fresno Program. Borba Farms is a diversified San Joaquin Valley Westside ranch producing almonds, tomatoes, garlic, melons, wheat, lettuce and cotton on approximately 9,000 acres in the Five Points-Huron area.” 

Sam Lucido

Sam is a long time resident of Fresno, born in Antioch, California. He has been involved in the real estate and development industry for over 40 years. Along with his son Richard, Sam owns and manages numerous properties in the Fresno, Clovis and Sanger areas. Specializing in office suites.

He is a proud member of the Rotary Club of East Fresno for over 30 years serving as president and board member. Sam is married to Linda and has 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Sam has served over the years on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fresno County, co-chairing the building of the Clovis club in 2004. Was a board member of the Clovis Community Foundation and vice chair of the Fresno County Workforce Investment Board, chairing the Youth Council. He is an avid boater, enjoys world traveling and golfing.

Paul Quiring

Paul Quiring is President and CEO of Quiring General, LLC, a general construction company, which specializes in healthcare construction. Paul has been in this position since the early 1980s and, together with his brother, has led the growth of the company to become one of the largest healthcare contractors in central California. With more than 30 years of experience in real estate and construction, Paul has extensive experience in strategic planning, goal setting, and the development of organizational culture. Paul has developed strategies that have enabled the company to remain profitable every year that he has been in leadership.

In associated ventures Paul has also developed single and multi-family real estate, medical offices, and commercial property. Paul is a Managing Member of Montrio Capital Partners, a real estate development company which focuses on Senior Housing. Paul currently serves on the Fresno Business Council, is a long-standing member of the Fresno County Economic Development Corporation Board and is on the board of Everence Financial. During his career Paul has served on numerous boards, both for-profit and non-profit community organizations. Paul has lived and traveled widely overseas for his business and charitable interests.
