FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program

Suncrest Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

Bank Applications and Android Phones

It has come to our attention that there is a growing area of concern associated with Android phones and financial instituion applications. Specificially, there are application developers who are creating and making publicly available certain Android applications that have the same look and feel as legitimate financial instituions.

It is unknown at this time whether or not these applications carry malicious code, send users to fraudulent websites or are merely cashing in $0.99 for users to download a short cut their phone which sends them to the legitmate link/website.

At this time, Suncrest Bank does not support these applications.

If someone contacts you and requests this type of information, please do not respond and contact the authorities immediately.
